How I passed the CCZT Exam from CSA - a personal Experience

How to pass CCZT successfully?

Certificate of Competence in Zero Trust (CCZT) is a new and currently the only certification for Zero Trust from the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) on the market.

Are you considering the CCZT Certification?

Take a look 🔍 at these 5 simple steps:

1. Visualize the Exam

Spend a few minutes asking yourself:

- What kind of personality do I exhibit during exams?

- How do I react if the questions are very hard, or if they seem quite easy?

- How do I manage my time during exams?

2. Focus

- Clear your desk, put your phone away, and reserve enough time.

- Read each question twice, especially if you are not a native speaker.

- If you start feeling too comfortable, remember that it’s not over yet!

- If you get nervous, take a moment to calm yourself.

3. Use a Method

There are several methods for answering multiple-choice questions. Which one do you prefer?

Can you eliminate at least one answer as being clearly incorrect?

It's an open-book exam, but that can sometimes make things harder. Preparation is key!

4. Prepare

- Familiarize yourself with Zero Trust terminology and review the official glossary from CSA.

- Decide how much time you would like to invest in training.

- Choose your preferred learning method—can you study on your own?

- Let your favourite bot quiz you with multiple-choice questions—I used "Bellamy" from CCZT Training.

- Listen to PDF summaries or Student Book content while at the gym or jogging.

And always remember: You are not alone—talk to others and network.

5. Set a Goal

Are you aiming to pass on your first attempt, or will you just give it a try to see what happens? Consider this before you start the exam; it will ease the pressure.

Decide on your strategy for answering the questions: Go quickly and review your answers twice, or go through everything in detail.

In a nutshell– My personal reflection:

Initially, I tried studying on my own, but it didn’t go as planned. I struggled with time management and discipline, so I couldn’t make significant progress, even after rearranging my schedule several times.

Eventually, I realized I needed the structure and focus that comes with instructor-led training. Despite the challenge of finding enough time, I recognized how essential this was to my success.

That’s why I wholeheartedly recommend the CCZT training with Peter HJ van Eijk. His flexible approach allows attendees to re-join future sessions, which provides the continuity and support I needed to stay on track.

Thank you CSA for providing me with foundational knowledge on Zero Trust and for showing me the horizon.
